Generate the statement after adding transactions. Editing anything hides the previous preview until you generate it again. In the print dialog, choose Save as PDF and turn off browser headers and footers. CSV is a report, not an import backup.
Statement of account
| Date | Type / reference | Debit | Credit | Balance |
|---|
Positive balances are owed by the customer. Negative balances are customer credits. This statement summarises supplied records; it is not a tax invoice or proof of payment.
How to prepare a customer statement
- Enter your business, customer and statement period.
- Enter the balance immediately before the start date. Choose customer credit if you already owe the customer that amount.
- Add invoices at their full value including tax, individual payments received and any supported debit or credit adjustments. Use a separate reference for each receipt.
- Generate the statement. Transactions are sorted by date; transactions on the same day retain their entry order.
- Check the balance against your records, then print, save as PDF or export the CSV report.
A worked statement example
With no opening balance, an invoice of ₹29,500 followed by receipts of ₹10,000 and ₹5,000 leaves ₹14,500 owed. A supported credit adjustment of ₹500 would reduce that balance to ₹14,000. Record the adjustment separately from money received.
Statement of account versus invoice
An invoice requests payment for a particular supply. A statement summarises account activity over a period. This tool does not issue tax invoices, verify receipts, allocate payments to individual invoices or determine whether a tax adjustment is valid. Negative running balances indicate customer credit, not an amount to chase.
What happens to my data?
Entries are processed in your browser and held only in this page's memory. Refreshing or closing the page loses them. Downloaded files remain on your device. The CSV is a report and cannot be imported into this tool. Analytics is disabled in this page's source; normal page requests still reach the host.
