Items and estimated amounts

INR only. Unit prices exclude tax. Discount is a fixed amount per line. Choose your own estimated tax rate; this tool does not decide GST treatment or produce CGST/SGST splits.

This prepares a quotation for proposed work, not a tax invoice or payment receipt. It does not record customer acceptance. Revision numbers are labels only; this tool does not retain earlier versions.

How to create a quotation

  1. Enter your business and customer details, a quotation reference and the document date.
  2. Set a validity date if your offer has an expiry. Use a revision number to distinguish later versions.
  3. Add up to 20 items with quantities, tax-exclusive prices, fixed line discounts and estimated tax rates.
  4. Describe deliverables, exclusions, payment terms and how the customer can accept.
  5. Review the preview, then print or save as PDF. Keep a separate copy of every version you share.

A quotation example for a design project

Suppose a studio proposes a design milestone at ₹25,000 and applies a ₹1,000 line discount. The net line is ₹24,000. An illustrative 18% estimated tax adds ₹4,320, giving an estimated total of ₹28,320. The studio could list hosting and ongoing maintenance as exclusions and ask the customer to confirm the quotation reference and revision.

The rate is your input, not a recommendation. Quantity × price is rounded to paise, then the discount is subtracted. Estimated tax is rounded to paise on each net line and the rounded amounts are added. This tool does not choose tax treatment, verify GST registration, split CGST/SGST or calculate cess.

Quotation, proforma or invoice?

Use this quotation to describe proposed work and prices. For preliminary invoice-style details, use the proforma generator. For preparing billing details, use the invoice draft worksheet. Read the quotation, proforma and tax invoice comparison for more context.

Can a customer accept the quotation here?

No. The acceptance field prints your instructions; it does not send the document, obtain a signature or record acceptance. Share the PDF yourself and retain the customer’s response with the correct revision.

Are quotations saved?

No account is required, and the tool does not submit or store your entries. Refreshing or closing clears them. Save your PDF before leaving. Analytics is disabled on this tool page; ordinary hosting requests still occur. Your browser or chosen print destination may retain saved documents.
